The Binding of Isaac is based on the biblical story of Abraham and Isaac. Instead of Abraham, it's Isaac's mom who wants to sacrifice him!
It's loosely based on the ancient biblical story about Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son Isaac, but with a lot more monsters and poop jokes.
Isaac's mom hears a voice from above and decides to sacrifice him, just like in the Bible. But Isaac finds a trapdoor and things get crazy from there!
Basically, it's a twisted retelling of the story of Abraham and Isaac from the Bible. But instead of a mountain, Isaac escapes into a creepy basement filled with monsters. Wild, right?
