The OG Fullmetal Alchemist series and Brotherhood start the same but diverge; Brotherhood follows the manga more closely and has a different ending.

Brotherhood sticks to the source material (the manga) much closer than the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist series, which took creative liberties.

FMA '03 goes its own way, but Brotherhood is the manga's twin.

Think of Fullmetal Alchemist as the remix and Brotherhood as the hit single – same roots but different vibes!

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a more faithful adaptation of the manga created by Hiromu Arakawa, while the original Fullmetal Alchemist diverges into its own story after a certain point.
