What is the difference between fake and real Pokemon cards?
One major tip-off is the card quality. Real Pokemon cards have a distinct, smooth finish and are pretty durable. Fake ones often feel flimsy or have a waxy, glossy finish that's a dead giveaway. Also, look closely at the text and images. Genuine cards have sharp, clear printing, while fakes might look blurry or the colors might be off. Lastly, check the blue layer in the middle of the card by looking at the edge; if it's missing, you've got a fake on your hands!

Hot take, but sometimes the fakes are getting so good, it's hard to tell at first glance. Still, weight is a sneaky giveaway. Real cards have a consistent weight to them, fakes often weigh less. And don't get me started on the spelling errors on the fakes, sometimes it's the fastest way to spot 'em!
Honestly, the easiest way I found out was the light test. Shine a light through the card; if it's real, it should block out most of the light, showing the quality of the paper. Tried it on a card I was unsure about, and boom, it was a fake!
