Basically, Arena is for fun and Online is for the hardcore. If you wanna chill and have a good time, Arena's your game. If you're about that grind and wanna get every card imaginable, MTG Online is where it's at.

Arena all the way. It's prettier and doesn't feel like you need a degree to figure it out.

MTG Arena is the newer, shinier version of Magic The Gathering online play. It's more visually appealing, feels more like playing the physical card game, and is designed to be accessible for both newcomers and veterans. It's free-to-play but you can buy cards or packs to build your decks. MTG Online, on the other hand, is the OG digital Magic. It's been around since 2002 and has a more complex interface that can seem daunting to new players. It's got a deeper card pool though, including almost every card ever printed, making it a go-to for serious players and those looking for obscure deck builds.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
