PlayStation Plus = Sub for online play and goodies. Season Pass = Buy for in-game extras. Simple!
I鈥檝e been using both for years. PS Plus gets me online play and a couple of free games each month. The Season Pass makes sure I get all the DLC for my favorite games without having to buy each one separately. They're essential for different reasons!
PS Plus is all about enhancing your overall PlayStation experience with online multiplayer and free monthly games. Season Passes are specific to individual games, and they give you access to all the extra content released for that game over a period of time. Pretty different stuff!
