Honestly, the real end goal of State of Decay 2 is to just keep on slaying zombies and having fun for as long as possible!
The main objective is to complete the Legacy Goal of your chosen leader type, like the Builder, Sheriff, Trader, or Warlord, each offering a unique narrative conclusion.
My own playthrough ended with my leader’s legacy, but it was the journey more so than the destination that kept me glued.
