The first Hot Wheels Treasure Hunt series kicked off in 1995. Back then, Mattel decided to introduce something special by producing cars that were a bit rarer than the usual lineup. The first of these was the Olds 442 W-30, complete with a special paint job and Real Riders tires. It was like finding a hidden gem among the regular Hot Wheels cars at the store.

Actually, it was the '67 Camaro! Nah, just kidding – it was indeed the Olds 442 W-30. Can't beat the original chase!

I got one of those back in the day, the Olds 442 W-30, straight from a cereal box! Felt like hitting the jackpot in my bowl of breakfast. Best. Morning. Ever.

If love Hot Wheels, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Several of those prizes are trending Hot Wheels, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
