The title for the most expensive secret rare Pokémon cards often changes due to market demand, but a few standouts include the Pikachu Illustrator Card, which has fetched prices over $200,000 at auctions. Another gem is the First Edition Shadowless Holographic Charizard, often selling for upwards of $20,000 depending on its condition. Prices can skyrocket for cards in pristine condition or those graded by professional services.

I gotta say, it's gotta be the Pikachu Illustrator card. That thing is like the holy grail of Pokemon cards. Saw one go for a crazy amount at an auction once. Can't remember the exact price, but my jaw dropped. Definitely not something you'd find in a standard booster pack.

Honestly? Most secret rare cards are way overhyped. Sure, Pikachu Illustrator is pricey, but remember, at the end of the day, they're just pieces of cardboard. Collect for fun, not for investment.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
