The 'R' button on a PS4 refers to the right-side shoulder buttons. R1 is the top right button, and R2 is the bottom right trigger.

On the PS4 controller, R1 is the right bumper and R2 is the right trigger. Hope that clears it up!

From my gaming days, R1 and R2 are on the right side. R1 is the shoulder button, and R2 is the trigger.
