Gotta say, the 2016 Pokémon TCG scene was wild, but for real, the Master's Key is super rare. Now, okay, it wasn't exactly printed in 2016, but when we talk about cards getting attention during that time, this one was a gem among collectors. Super difficult to find and the price? Astronomical!

The rarest 2016 Pokemon card is arguably the Pikachu Illustrator card. Although not released in 2016, its auctions in that year smashed records, making it a legend! But if we're talking strictly about cards released in 2016, then the 'Pikachu Gold Star' from the Pokemon TCG: XY—Evolutions set takes the crown, due to its scarcity and the nostalgia factor, driving collectors wild.

Master's Key isn't even a 2016 card, guys. Stick to the question! The real deal in 2016 is the Umbreon GX from the Sun & Moon series. Limited release, shiny appeal, and everybody loves an Eeveelution. That's your true unicorn.

I'd argue it's the Charizard from the XY Evolutions set. Yeah, Pikachu gets all the hype, but a mint condition Charizard? That's the dream for collectors from the 2016 era. High demand, low supply makes it a treasure hunt.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
