Nope, it's not that generous. You can't just play a game for 10 hours, decide you hate it and then get a refund. Less than 2 hours of gameplay and within two weeks of purchase, or no deal.

Steam will basically give you your money back for any reason, but only if you've played the game for less than 2 hours and it's within 14 days of purchase. It's like a “try before you really buy” kinda deal.

Steam's refund policy is pretty cool, actually. You can request a refund for nearly any purchase on Steam—for any reason. Maybe your PC doesn't meet the hardware requirements, or maybe you bought a game by mistake, or you just didn't like the game. The catch? You have to make the refund request within 14 days of purchase, and you must have played the game for less than 2 hours. Also, it doesn't apply to some third-party DLC, movies, and games purchased outside of Steam.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
