Genya's got a unique quirk: he can't use total concentration breathing like other Demon Slayers. Instead, he chows down on demons to gain their powers temporarily. Talk about a spicy diet!

Genya's problem is that he had a really rough childhood, and it's left him with a chip on his shoulder. He's more angsty than a teenager who just got their phone taken away!

I've read the manga and watched the anime鈥擥enya's struggle mainly comes from his inability to use breathing techniques, forcing him to rely on eating demon flesh to temporarily gain their powers. Imagine needing a demon snack every fight!

Quick take: Genya's issues stem from not being able to do the usual Demon Slayer stuff and relying on eating demons. It's weird, but it works for him.
