Actually, it's all about the tiny '1st Edition' symbol. If it's got that, you've got gold! Well, not real gold, but you know what I mean.

First Edition Pokemon cards have a special '1st Edition' stamp on them, located below the bottom left corner of the Pokemon illustration. This stamp distinguishes them from other printings of the same card. They're the very first print run of a card set, making them super rare and often more sought after by collectors!

As someone who's been collecting Pokemon cards since the dawn of time (okay, maybe not that long, but still), first editions are the OG prints. They have the '1st Edition' stamp, and trust me, finding one in mint condition is like hitting a jackpot!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
