If your game is lagging, drop 'Water Quality' and 'Ambient Occlusion' first. Worked like a charm for me!

Turn down 'Shadow Quality' and 'Water Quality'鈥攖hese two usually gobble up performance. Also, lowering 'Anti-Aliasing' helps a lot.
