If you want to follow the story chronologically: Sword Art Online (2012) -> Sword Art Online: Extra Edition -> Sword Art Online II -> Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale -> Sword Art Online: Alicization -> Sword Art Online: War of Underworld.

Or just start with Alicization if you wanna get to the real action. You can always go back later!

Watched it all already! Honestly, release order is the best, you’ll get the intended flow. Also, less confusing.

Start with Sword Art Online (2012), then Sword Art Online II, followed by Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale (movie). After that, watch Sword Art Online: Alicization, and finish with Sword Art Online: War of Underworld.

If you're a Sword Art Online fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
