Oh boy, you're talking about the crème de la crème of Pokemon cards. The one that went for a cool $300k is the Pikachu Illustrator card. This isn't just any card; it's super rare, handed out to winners of a CoroCoro Comic illustration contest in Japan back in the '90s. Only a handful of these bad boys exist in the world, making them the Holy Grail for collectors.

Just to throw in a quick two cents: it was the Pikachu Illustrator card. Super rare, super pricey.

Pikachu Illustrator card, hands down. Had a buddy who was obsessed with finding one. Spoiler: he didn’t. But yeah, this card is legendary among collectors and for good reason. With only a few in existence and its unique art, no wonder it fetched $300k.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
