Oh boy, strap in! The world of Pokemon cards can be as wild as a Gyarados in a kiddie pool. First off, rare cards, like first edition prints, holographic cards, and limited edition promos can fetch a pretty penny. The Holy Grail? First Edition Charizard from the Base Set, known to sell for the price of a small car! Other valuable cards include Shadowless cards, certain Japanese promos, and full-art cards from newer sets. Condition matters BIG time – a PSA 10 (that's gem mint, folks) can skyrocket a card's value.

Not all that glitters is gold, my friend. Yeah, some old cards and shiny ones can sell for a lot, but it's not just about age or sparkle. It's the rarity, condition, and demand that truly determine a card’s value. I've seen common old cards worth less than a pack of gum and newer, special edition cards go for hundreds. Do your homework and check recent sales to get a real sense of what a card is worth.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
