Honestly, if you want something that feels like the old days, grab any of the Base Set reprints. They're literally the OG cards but shinier. Can't get more original than that.

Base set, no contest. They've reprinted the original cards a few times, and those are as close as you'll get to reliving the glory days without time travel. Just don't expect them to be cheap!

The most similar to the original Pokemon cards are the re-releases and anniversary editions. For example, the 'Celebrations' set includes reprints of iconic cards from the earliest sets, like Base Set Charizard. These cards maintain the original artwork and game mechanics, giving you that nostalgic feel of the originals!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
