Only the original 20GB and 60GB PS3 models (also known as the 'fat' PS3) have full hardware-based backwards compatibility with PS2 games. If you're looking to play your old PS2 collection, these are the models to hunt down!

The 80GB 'fat' PS3 model also offers backwards compatibility, but it's through software emulation, meaning it won't work with all PS2 games. Stick to the 20GB or 60GB models for the best results.

The later 'slim' and 'super slim' PS3 models dropped backwards compatibility completely. Sorry, folks, those won't play your PS2 discs!

Speaking from experience, only the 20GB and 60GB models gave me no problems with my vast collection of PS2 classics. They鈥檙e old, but still gold!

Honestly, the best PS3 model for backwards compatibility is the OG 'fat' ones, specifically the 60GB. Anything else, and you're rolling the dice.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
