Only the original 20GB and 60GB PS3 models can play PS2 games. They have the PS2 hardware built in, so you're good to go with those!

You need an early version of the PS3, like the 20GB or 60GB models from launch. Later models don't have the hardware to support PS2 games.

None of the newer models can play PS2 games. Stick with the OG, 20GB, or 60GB if you need that backward compatibility.

Quick tip: Only the fat PS3s with 4 USB ports can play PS2 games. Anything else, and you're outta luck!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
