For mounting Hot Wheels on display or securing them for custom projects, you want to go with #2x1/4" self-tapping screws. They're small enough to fit the original rivet holes without needing to drill new ones. Perfect for keeping those collectibles in pristine condition without altering the look too much.

Use whatever you find in the junk drawer; just make sure it fits. But really, #2x1/4" screws work best if you want to do it right and keep your Hot Wheels looking mint.

Honestly, I've used both #2x1/4" self-tapping screws and slightly longer ones depending on the base of the Hot Wheels. The shorter ones are great for most, but if the base is thicker, don't be afraid to go up a size. Just be careful not to crack the plastic!
