I'd suggest skipping Season 6 (ep. 144-151) and Season 7 (ep. 152-169) - they're mostly fillers and don't add much to the main story.
You can skip most of the filler arcs if you're in a rush. Specifically, Season 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, and parts of 20 and 21. Stick with the main storyline for the best experience!
As a hardcore fan, I skipped Season 6 and Season 7 completely. Season 8 has some good moments, but overall it's skippable too.
