What size drill bit should be used for Hot Wheels?
AttemptingDance·7 months agoHonestly, just grab a 1/16" drill bit and you're golden. It’s the go-to for most Hot Wheels enthusiasts when they're modding their cars.

For customizing Hot Wheels or taking them apart, you'll want to use a 1/16" drill bit to remove the rivets. This size is perfect because it's small enough to fit the rivet without damaging the car, but large enough to get the job done effectively. Remember to drill slowly to avoid any mishaps!
3/32" drill bits work better IMO, gives you a bit more room to work with without being too big. Plus, if you slip, it's less likely to ruin the whole thing. Been customizing for years and it's my preferred size.
