Don't forget about the First Edition Shadowless Charizard card. While not fetching as much as the Pikachu Illustrator, it's still one of the most coveted and can pull in over $300,000 at auction, depending on its condition. Charizard has been a fan favorite since day one, so it’s no surprise it's worth a small fortune!

Honestly, most of these super expensive cards are way out of reach for average collectors. Just enjoy collecting and playing without worrying about snagging the priciest card out there.

The title for the most expensive Pokemon card ever goes to the Pikachu Illustrator card. This ultra-rare beauty was given out to winners of a CoroCoro Comic illustration contest back in 1998, and there are only a handful of them in existence. The rarity and the unique history behind it have pushed its price into the stratosphere; one sold for an eye-watering $5.275 million in 2021!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
