Totally depends on your faction! Some factions need different buildings early on. Just make sure you don't run out of resources.
Start by building infrastructure and economy buildings first in your main settlements. You need money to fuel your war machine!
Just spam the biggest, baddest units you can get. Who needs economy when you have giants, right?
