Easy peasy! Just boot up your game and hit pause to check the game's main menu. Usually, the version number is right there in the corner. It's like going on a treasure hunt, except the treasure is a bunch of numbers telling you how many updates you've missed.

Honestly, just check the main menu of the game. It's right there. If you're playing on PC, you might also find it in the game's properties via your library in Steam.
