GTA 5 had a monster budget, something like $265 million! That covered everything from development to marketing. It was a huge deal because it set records for the most expensive video game development project at the time. Worth every penny if you ask me, given how massive and detailed the game turned out.

Over $260 million! GTA 5 was basically the Avengers: Endgame of video games in terms of budget. The money went into making the game world super realistic, not to mention the marketing to hype it all up.
