Actually, the very first Pokemon card can trace its roots back to the early days before Pikachu Illustrator. The Base Set Machamp is often considered by many as the first to be widely available, since it was included in the original starter set of the game.

The first Pokemon card ever produced was the Pikachu Illustrator card. It was a promo card awarded in a CoroCoro Comic illustration contest back in 1998, and it鈥檚 super rare鈥攐nly a few dozen exist in the world!

Nope, it's all about Pikachu Illustrator. That card is the OG and has a legend status among collectors and players. Trust me, I tried to get my hands on one once. Emphasis on 'tried.'

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
