Hands down, the Illustrator Pikachu is the crown jewel of rare original Pokemon cards. Only a few were ever made for a specific contest in Japan, making it super rare. Next up, the Pre-Release Raichu rumors have swirled for years, though it's debated if it officially exists. Then there's the First Edition Shadowless Holographic Charizard, which is like the holy grail for collectors. Basically owning any of these is like having a treasure!

Can confirm the First Edition Shadowless Holographic Charizard is a BIG deal in the collecting world. Managed to snag one at a garage sale once, and it was like hitting the lottery. The look on the faces at my local card shop... priceless.

Honestly, all that rarity talk is overrated. Just enjoy the game and the cards you have. Who cares if you don't have a super rare card from 20 years ago?

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
