The first Grand Theft Auto game graced our screens in 1997. Changed the gaming scene forever, if you ask me. Before we knew it, we were all steering cars off cliffs and dodging the cops. Good times!

1997 was the iconic year when the first Grand Theft Auto hit the shelves, kicking off a legendary series known for its open-world criminal escapades. It feels like just yesterday, doesn't it?

'97, mate. First time we got our hands dirty in GTA's chaotic world. And what a ride it's been since!

I think it was 1998 or something. Couldn't have been much earlier.

Actually, it was 1997. I remember because it was the same year I finally convinced my parents to get me a gaming console. Best year of my childhood, hands down.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
