The 'value' year? It's not a car, it doesn't depreciate the minute you drive it off the lot! Pokemon cards can gain value over time, especially if kept in mint condition. Key years are usually tied to first editions or special releases, but remember, it's more about rarity and demand than a specific year.

Pokemon cards can become valuable at any point, but the real golden age for value spikes tends to be the early years, like the first editions released in the late '90s. Think 1999 for those super coveted 1st Edition Shadowless Charizard cards. But don't sleep on newer cards, special editions and rare finds from any era can also fetch a pretty penny.

Honestly, just buy and hold onto any card you love. You never know which one becomes the next big hit. Been collecting since '98 and some of the cards that were once 'meh' are now worth a small fortune. It's all about patience and a bit of luck!

Value's subjective. Just collect what you enjoy!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
