1999, my dudes. That's when the Pokemon TCG really started to shake things up in the US. If you got one from that time, it's like owning a piece of the Pokemon golden age.
1996 in Japan, but not until 1999 in the US. It's crazy to think how those cards started a whole TCG revolution.
Actually, it was 1996 for Japan and 1998 for the US. The Pokemon craze was just kicking off and those cards are now considered super rare gems.
