For a smooth experience on your PS4, aim for a minimum download speed of 3 Mbps, but ideally, you should have at least 15-25 Mbps. Upload speeds of around 1 Mbps or higher will keep you in the game without hiccups!

Honestly, 5 Mbps download is fine for most casual gaming. If you're just downloading updates or single-player games, you don't need blazing speeds.

Hot take: If you aren鈥檛 streaming or downloading large games, even 10 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload can serve you well on the PS4.

I鈥檝e been gaming on my PS4 for years. I find that having at least 20 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload keeps everything running smoothly, especially for online multiplayer games.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
