The rarest Pokemon card in the world is undoubtedly the Pikachu Illustrator card. Only 39 were ever released, and it's been known to fetch over $200,000 at auctions. Its rarity comes from it being a prize in a 1998 CoroCoro Comic contest, not from regular card packs, making it a unique piece of Pokemon TCG history.

It's the Pikachu Illustrator, hands down. Saw one go for huge bucks at an auction. These cards are like unicorns in the collecting world.

Honestly, Pikachu Illustrator cards are overhyped. The real gems are the error cards and unique misprints. Those are the true unicorns cause no two are the same.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
