When can I cast a sorcery in Magic: The Gathering?
You can cast a sorcery during your main phase when the stack is empty. That means no other spells or abilities are waiting to resolve. Remember, you've got two main phases each turn – one before and one after your combat phase. Make sure it's your turn, though; sorcery spells are a no-go during your opponent's turn!

Main phase + your turn + no other spells on the stack = Sorcery time. Forget about sneaking these in during combat or on someone else's turn. Timing is everything.
Honestly, I think sorceries are overrated. Instants are where it's at – flexibility is king.
Sorceries are strictly a your-turn affair, only during one of your main phases. Just think, 'Is it my turn? Is it a main phase? Is the coast clear?' If yes, you're good to go!
