You can start soaring on a Hippogriff in Hogwarts Legacy after you complete a specific quest called 'The High Keeper'. This quest unlocks a bit into the game, not right at the beginning, so you'll need to advance the story a fair bit before you get the chance to take to the skies on one of these majestic creatures.

Actually, the moment you unlock flying on a hippogriff isn't just tied to 'The High Keeper' quest. It's pivotal to know that progressing through the game and leveling up are crucial steps. So, while 'The High Keeper' quest is your ticket to hippogriff-back freedom, focusing on your character's progression is equally important. The magical world is your oyster, or rather, your sky after that!

Nah, it takes too long. You should be able to fly from the start. Game's still awesome though.
