You can start using mounts in Hogwarts Legacy after you complete the 'The High Keep' quest, which is a bit into the game. Essentially, you unlock the ability to use a broom for flying around Hogwarts and its surrounding areas. Later on, you also get to call on a magical creature called a Hippogriff for even more majestic travel options!

Just to keep it simple: After 'The High Keep' quest, you're good to go with mounts. Brooms first, then upgrade to a Hippogriff!

Not that far in, just get past 'The High Keep' quest. But don't rush; enjoy the journey there!

Honestly, the flying feels so awesome in this game, it's totally worth the wait. Got my broom after 'The High Keep' quest and it changed the game for me. Zooming around Hogwarts never gets old.
