'Real Riders' first rolled out in 1983, and let me tell ya, they were a game changer! Rubber tires? On a toy car? Absolute madness that turned every living room carpet into a race track deluxe.

Hot Wheels introduced the term 'Real Riders' back in 1983. They were basically referring to their line of cars that had treads and rubber tires, which was a big deal back then because it made them look way more legit and, you know, real, compared to the regular plastic ones. These wheels had a more authentic feel, making those cars stand out as especially cool.

It was indeed 1983 when 'Real Riders' became a thing. However, I gotta say, whether they're 'real' or not, Hot Wheels with any wheels are the real deal. But yeah, rubber tires added that extra *chef's kiss*.
