I've got a bunch of Hot Wheels from the '80s, and a lot of them say 'Made in Malaysia' on the bottom. So, yep, they've been cranking them out there since at least the early '80s.

Hot Wheels started producing some of their cars in Malaysia back in the late 1970s, early 1980s. They initially began manufacturing in the US but expanded production to include Malaysia to keep up with demand.

Late 70s, early 80s. But does it matter? The coolness of a Hot Wheel isn't decided by where it's made.

If love Hot Wheels, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Several of those prizes are trending Hot Wheels, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
