Pretty much right after it dropped in October. You know a game's got it going on when everyone on your Discord is talking about it non-stop. Lethal Company? More like 'Let's all ditch work and play this new game Company'.

Lethal Company hit the ground running at its Early Access release on October 23, 2023. Thanks to its bone-chilling atmosphere and solid co-op gameplay, it quickly caught the eye of survival horror fans on Steam. The hype really took off when streamers and reviewers praised its unique take on the genre, combining resource management and teamwork in a way that hadn't been seen much before. It's got all the hallmarks of a hit indie game, with players loving the tension and the need to work closely with friends to survive!

Overrated. Just another co-op game in a sea of them. It's the atmosphere that got people talking, but really, it's the teamwork aspect that shined a bit brighter. Became popular? Sure, but not groundbreaking.
