I'd argue that Northernlion's skill noticeably improved during his Afterbirth+ series. Practice makes perfect, right?
From my experience watching his streams, Northernlion's skill level took a significant leap around the Afterbirth DLC release in 2015.
Honestly, Northernlion is still not that great at The Binding of Isaac. He's just entertaining!
