Actually, the biggest game-changer was episode 517 where the animation took a noticeable leap forward. Before that, yeah, there were tweaks, but nothing as major. The New World saga really brought the visuals up to par with what we see in modern anime today.

Honestly, One Piece has been on so long, the animation changes every few arcs to keep up with the times. But the real upgrade? Episode 517, no cap. That's when things got real crisp.

The One Piece anime underwent a significant animation change starting with episode 207, which kicked off the Long Ring Long Land Arc. This was due to an upgrade in the animation technology and a shift to HD. Another major change occurred with episode 517, marking the start of the New World saga, where they adopted even sharper animation and more vibrant colors to match the manga鈥檚 evolving art style better.

Change? More like evolution. One Piece's animation gets better with age. But if you're looking for milestones, episodes 207 and 517 are where it's at. The crew never looked better.
