Reverse holo cards made their shiny debut in the Legendary Collection set back in 2002. It was a big deal because for the first time, you could get every card in the set as a reverse holo, not just the rares. This meant your common Weedle could shine just as much as a rare Charizard!

Gonna go against the grain here and say reverse holos were a mistake. Too much glitter, not enough substance. Give me a classic holo Charizard over a reverse any day.

2002, Legendary Collection set. And honestly, they're one of the best things to happen to the game. Who doesn't love more sparkle?

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
