Solo Leveling originally began as a web novel by Chu-Gong back in 2016. It got so popular that it was adapted into a webtoon (manhwa) which first came out in 2018. So, 2016 for the novel and 2018 for the manhwa. The anime, which has been a sensation, premiered in January 2024!

2018, manhwa-wise. That's when the artwork came into the picture to tell Jinwoo's story. For those keen on the original tale, 2016 marked the web novel's debut. And wow, didn't they hit it out of the park with the 2024 anime adaptation!

2016, if you're talking about the web novel. That's when the epic journey of Sung Jinwoo started, in written form. The art-filled manhwa adaptation kicked off in 2018. Both are brilliant, but let's not forget the recent anime series in 2024 that brought everything to life.

If you're a Solo Leveling fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
