Honestly, Tetris isn't really a game you 'beat'; it's more about getting the highest score possible.

Technically, you can't 'beat' the original Tetris on Game Boy or NES because the pieces just fall faster until you lose. But, in 1989, players started hitting the so-called 'kill screen' on level 29.

I once got to level 30 on Tetris and thought I had beaten it, but nope, it just keeps going until you mess up!

Tetris is designed to be unbeatable due to the increasing speed, but the first notable 'completion' was by Thor Aackerlund in the 1990 Nintendo World Championships.

If you're a Tetris player looking for extra power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Tetris essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
