To keep it simple: Xbox 360 servers weren't shut down all at once. Microsoft phased out support gradually, starting heavy shutdowns around 2021.

As a former Xbox 360 junkie, I saw my favorite servers starting to go offline in 2021. It was a sad day, but hey, it was a fun ride while it lasted!

Alright, so Microsoft officially ended support for Xbox 360 hardware and online services in 2021, but the exact shutdowns happened in stages. Some games may still have servers up thanks to their communities, but don't expect any new updates!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
