When did they stop making first edition Pokemon Cards?
RepeatingRitz路7 months agoFirst edition Pokemon cards are a rare breed! They actually stopped producing them after the first print run of the original sets, which was around 1999 in the United States. So, if you've got one, you're holding onto a piece of Pokemon history!

They stopped making first edition cards way back in the day, after the initial sets. Basically, anything after Base Set 2 doesn't have a 1st Edition stamp.
If you're looking for first editions, you're out of luck. They stopped rolling those out right after the first sets were released. No first edition stamps on new cards, folks.
