When do Sagas trigger in MTG?

Sagas trigger at two main points during your turn: first, right after your draw step, they get a lore counter. That's when you check for any chapter abilities that match the number of lore counters on the Saga. The second trigger point is if a Saga somehow gets additional counters during your turn, say through another spell or ability. Basically, look for those triggers after you draw and anytime you mess with the counters!

Actually, it's just after your draw step. That's when you slap a new lore counter on it and see if any of its chapter abilities go off. No need to overthink it!

Gonna have to disagree here, folks. While yes, main triggers are post-draw step, don't forget some sneaky play can add counters outside the normal sequence, triggering those chapters at odd times. Seen it happen. Been on both sides of it.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
