Seasons in Animal Crossing change based on the real world's calendar, just like in real life! So when it's summer in the real world, it's summer in the game, and the same goes for fall, winter, and spring. This means if you're playing in the Northern Hemisphere setting, seasons will change at the end of each third month to match the actual season changes. Southern Hemisphere players will see the same changes, just in reverse order to align with their real-world seasons!

Actually, the exact day the seasons change in Animal Crossing can vary a bit. It tends to follow the solstices and equinoxes closely, but the specific in-game events marking the change can shift around. Keep an eye on in-game announcements!

Short answer: when it does IRL. Spring begins in March, summer in June, autumn in September, and winter in December. Just look out the window, and you'll have your answer!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
