The game uses local time for day and night cycles, so it follows whatever time zone you’re in.

Nighttime in Pokemon GO usually starts around 8 PM and lasts until about 8 AM, but it can vary a bit by season and location.

From my experience, night starts around 8 PM local time. You’ll notice the game’s colors shift to a darker palette!

It gets dark in Pokemon GO around 8 PM where I live. Just watch your local environment and you'll notice the change!

If you're a Pokemon GO! player looking for extra PokeCoins or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Pokemon GO! essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
